Things to do in LA? I could try to list the top 100 things to do in Los Angeles and surrounding areas, trying to list the best attractions, the best, hotels, the best museums, the best activities, the best things for children to do, the best tours, (do you see where I'm going with this?), but it can't be done. California is a great place to visit. Besides Los Angeles, you have Venice Beach, Orange County, whale watching, Magic Mountain, San Diego, Long Beach, La Brea Tar Pits and a whole slew more. I'll see what I can do to give a few of what attractions I personally enjoy.
Magic Mountain situated in the San Fernando Valley, is what I call Disney Land for adults. Children can come too, but the rides and attractions are great and a little violent for kids. You'll want directions to get there. It's quite a few miles from Los Angeles. Don't do a lot of dining beforehand or you'll have to park a safe distance from your group, if you know what I mean.
Los Angeles, San Diego and Orange County provide great California travel which includes long miles but great sites. Each of those counties have beautiful beaches tons of history museums not to mention theme parks. While attending the beaches try to do some whale watching. Blue whales are seen quite often, not to mention the dolphins and seals.
There are many tours that allow you to do those activities. Each of these areas are great centers for art too. Check the reviews and map guides. Never go anywhere to see any sites, without mapping directions. It's easy to get lost, besides it takes hours to go even a few miles at the wrong time of day.
Morning, afternoon, and evening are the best times to do anything. California travel also means great dining. Whether you eat in a theme park, museum, beach or at the city center the food is fantastic. Read as many articles and reviews as you can on Los Angeles dining and bring lots of money. You can tour the state on just meals while staying at the best hotels.
Southern California is my favorite place because it's within miles of any attraction, beach or theme park and it's filled with history and museums. There are hundreds of places to see and things to do in just a 50 mile radius. It all depends on the attraction type that best suits you and your family. Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego County are filled with fun and magic. The area is filled great activities and attractions while traveling a short distance.
It's impossible to state the fun you and your children, if you have any, can experience in the Los Angeles and surrounding areas. Before you visit, make a list of things, cut the travel down as much as possible. Make a mixed list of attractions, such as, theme parks, dining, hotels, beaches, and events like Dodger games. Once you've had a Dodger Dog you'll had the top dog in the land.
One last thing; take a camera for all the attractions. You'll see things that you've never seen before and have more fun than any human is allowed to have. Make that day happen and you'll have the most fun in the world.
