This article will explain more in detail how that Lead Generation Technique actually works. Which by the way is. Article Marketing..!
See, there are two purposes with Article Marketing. First, generating traffic, second provide content so that people will see you as a leader on the respective area.
Inorder to generate traffic we must rank high on the search engines, in particular on Google, by targeting a keyword phrase that has decent or better traffic as well as normal or lesser competition.
You wanna rank at least on the first page of Google, if not in the top 3. Cause pages that gets the traffic are divided upon the first page of Google by the following numbers: The #1 ranked website tends to get 42% of clicks. The second gets 12%. The third gets 8%. The fourth gets 6%. The fifth gets 4% and the sixth gets 3%. And the rest is shared on the remaining sites.But what importance does this have in our case? See, if you wrote an article on "how to build a dog house" and 100 people were searching on that keyword per day and you had the #1 ranked website, you would get 42 visitors per day on average.
For my targeted niche I use Market Samurai to help me find a keyword. You use this tool by typing in your targeted niche, lets take "dog house" as an example for our targeted niche. Then you will click a button and the program will find up to 800 relating keyword phrases. Then you sort out all the keywords that you don't find relevant and push another button to give you an indication of how much traffic they all get. The next thing you do is taking those with most traffic on and with one push you do a competition search to determine whether or not it is worth ranking for.
This is hands down one of the coolest tools I have ever used and important for this Lead Generation Technique. It will save you hours, even days of researching and measuring. And I usually end up with a lot of keywords that I'll save for other articles.
Now you have a keyword phrase that you can write an article about. An article should have about 500-700 words, to get the best ranking possibilities on Google. Within the article you want to use your keyword phrase as many times as possible. When the article is done, you post it on your blog with an opt-in form at the bottom or directing the visitors to a capture page where they can opt-in to become your lead. And this Lead Generation Technique should ultimately end up with that!
But Google will not put you on first page with just one article. You need to blast your article all over the internet. You want to do this because every article that you put out there, you create a backlink in it towards your original article that you posted on your blog. This backlink works like a vote, and the more votes one page/article has from popular sites, the better it ranks in Google.
To do this I use a tool called Article Marketing Robot. Article Marketing Robot will let you spin an article so you can have different varieties of your main article, cause if you used the exactly same article to post hundreds of places on the internet, Google will see these as identical articles and none of them will benefit your purpose. Article Marketing Robot will also let you sign up to over 6000 article directories on autopilot, this means that you don't need to sign up manually to each site which will take at least a week. When you have done this, you simply click a button and Article Marketing Robot will start uploading different versions of your main article to all the directories that it successfully signed up to. Imagine having hundreds, even thousands of backlinks all pointing at your blog article!
We are not finished yet. To put the icing on the cake for this Lead Generation Techniques, I use this last tool called My Article Network-link, to through my article out to even more sites, by using the spin technique. This tool will not create immediate results at once but rather give a steady flow of backlinks to your site and keep you at the top of Google!
