There are some men who do not even know that they are already singing baritone. Baritone is the most common vocal range for men, it falls between bass and tenor. Most singers that you can hear in the radio are singing baritone, and these are pop and rock singers. You also can learn how to sing baritone even it is not within your vocal range.

Baritone refers to the part where men are singing in a harmony and not to the overall range of a singer. If you are singing this vocal range, then you are usually singing the lower part of a harmony. Though there is what we call singing in higher baritone, where a singer sings above a melody, but this not very common.

If you want to learn baritone, it is important that you learn or find out where your natural voice range is. Your range is probably from the second G below the middle C to the F right above it. There is no doubt that you can sing baritone if you can hit notes with no effort. However, if you are missing few notes on the lower end, then there is no doubt that you are a tenor, a few notes on the end and you are already a bass singer.

If you are in a choir group or let’s say a band, you really need to do proper training with a professional voice teacher. Enrolling in a professional voice will help you know the basic in singing, especially in learning how to sing baritone. In singing this voice range, the most common problem is the posture of men, because they tend to slouch when they sing. It is very important to stand up straight and make sure that you use your diaphragm in singing and not your lungs as mistaken by some singers. This is very vital for you to expel the right notes while singing.

Another tip on learning to sing baritone is the importance of constant practice. Taking time to practice will help you learn faster. Every vacant time you have must be used for practicing to learn baritone. Nothing compares to a hard work that you will put into your chosen craft.

Today’s baritone singers also had their share of sacrifices when they first started learning. Some of them had to undergo professional voice lessons and learn the basics. Because of their hard work and sacrifices and all the time they practiced, they are successful in their career. They reached their ambition because they had the passion for singing.

If you’re a person who loves to sing and has a passion for it, and you’re willing to take challenges that may come your way, then there is no doubt that you can learn to sing baritone the faster way. Just always remember that singing is for everybody, you just got to have the determination to learn to sing. In learning you have to take criticisms in a positive way and not be affected with the negative things that you hear.
