Apple is one of the leading companies recognized for producing and developing high-quality music players, notebooks, phones, and software applications. One of its best selling products is its line of music players famously known as the iPod collection. As of now, Apple's iPod line has four models: shuffle, nano, classic, and touch. Aside from storing hundreds of music, each model has its unique features that separate it among the others. Here are some facts about iPod models and their features to help you choose the right one for you.

iPod shuffle

The iPod shuffle is the lightest and smallest among the four models of iPod. Its body is made of solid and durable aluminum steel. You can clip in on your backpack while walking on your way to school, or on your jacket while running around the field. It allows you to control your music simply by clicking the outer or center part of its front control pad. It also has a VoiceOver button feature that tells you the title or artist of the song that is currently playing on your iPod. The same feature also tells you when you need to recharge its battery. Apple offers the iPod shuffle in five gleaming, bold colors: silver, pink, yellow, orange, and blue.

iPod nano

The iPod nano now comes with a Multi-Touch facet, the same technology that Apple has put on its iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. This feature allows you to control your music simply by tapping or swiping its front interface. These are the colors of iPod nano to choose from: gray, silver, orange, pink, yellow, and blue. It also comes in red color, which is an Apple Store exclusive.

iPod classic

The iPod classic has a 2.5 inch display that allows you to watch videos, play games, view photos, and browse music titles and playlists. It also has a ClickWheel that allows you to search for songs or navigate through video albums. The iPod classic is available in gray and black colors.

iPod touch

The iPod touch has a 3.5-inch widescreen Multi-Touch display. It also has 2 built-in cameras, one at the front, and another at the back. Both cameras allow you to take photos and videos. But the front camera is often used for its FaceTime application. FaceTime allows you to view your friend or relative who lives on another country while on a video call. Unlike other models, the iPod touch allows you to surf the web, browse different online sites, and read personal email messages. Current versions of iPod touch have Retina display feature. This feature improves the pixels of your photos, videos, web pages, emails, and game images. The Retina display also comes with a LED backlighting to help you view your iPod's screen on poor lighting conditions. It also includes an ambient light sensor. This works by automatically adjusting the brightness of the screen display according to the amount of available light. It also adjusts the iPod's brightness according to the status of its battery.
