Everyone that travels extensively in Europe forms opinions among the cities that turn into their favorites, and become places that have a special meaning for them. The next great feature of London making it #one of the# eminent places to travel is its large theatre district, among #the largest# of any city #in the# world.
Paris This city clearly has countless charms, but to me #the greatest# asset that makes this one of the best destinations to go to in Europe #is the# architecture, thus making this the best walking city, even topping London. Keep near the Seine, then #at the# Eiffel Tower walk #in the# direction #of the# Champs Elysees #and the# Arc de Triomphe, and you will witness #some of# the greatest architecture anywhere.
Vienna One of the great places to visit for music is Vienna. It is possible to experience much of this great city by walking, #from the# neighborhood around St. Stephan's Cathedral #to the# Hofborg, or old palace vicinity. There are many concert venues #to be found#, and also several great museums making Vienna a excellent spot to travel for its culture.
Amsterdam Much like Venice, Amsterdam's appeal is in its canals. #The city# is virtually #a web# of canals, and there is a boat of any size or shape, and for any occasion you might have. The downtown area is a place of great Dutch charm, however the waterways are actually what make this one of the great destinations to travel. Also, like all large European metropolitan areas the culture is ever present in #the form# of museums of #the great# Amsterdam artists, among them Van Gogh and Rembrandt.
Barcelona This city with #the small# city sensation #but the# progressive outlook is really a hidden treasure when searching for the best places to visit in Europe. Situated on the Mediterranean Sea in hilly terrain that provides it character, this second city in Spain offers the attitude that it can offer everything that #the great# metropolitan areas of Europe can provide, but nevertheless gives off #the feel# #of a# smaller metro area. For food, #you really# ought to experience the Tapas Restaurants.
This is clearly just a small example of #the great# destinations to tour in Europe, but each one #of these# places offers a rather unique attribute that help it become special from other destinations.
