Your Chinese astrological sign might be able to give you an idea about the sort of men that you will be most romantically compatible with. So whether you want a bit of direction in making sure he's right for you or you're in a relationship already and need to know if it's going to go anywhere, I've got a few tips that could turn your love life white hot with happiness.

The Chinese calendar has 12 signs. these star signs are the Rat, Ox, Tiger, Dragon, Rabbit, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Rooster, Monkey, Dog and Boar. You're probably thinking that this would be a difficult group to keep with each other on a farm and a lot of them just wouldn't get on with each other. It's the similar thing with what animal sign you fall under with Chinese astrology. Will it be a fight between a dog and a cat or snuggle up together like a couple of cuddly baby monkeys?

There is a 12 year cycle of Chinese zodiac signs and those born under the same astrological sign are supposed to have similar personalities, likes, dislikes and stuff like that. That doesn't mean that the same signs are going to get on with each other every time. Occasionally being too similar does not work at all well at all in a relationship, however much I would love to see two furry little monkeys hugging each other.

So what are the compatible signs in the Chinese zodiac? Here are the matches that are going to work: Horse with the Sheep, Monkey with the Snake, Dog with the Rabbit, Dragon with the Rooster, Tiger with the Pig and lastly the Ox with the Rat. Several of these are unusual; I wouldn't have thought that a Snake would get on very well with a Monkey, but then everyone knows that Pigs and Tigers can often be seen playing together in the wild right? Maybe not.

If you want to avoid trouble then lets have a look at the combinations that you should probably avoid: Dog with the Rooster, Horse with the Ox, Goat with the Rat, Tiger with the Snake, Dragon with the Rabbit and lastly the Pig with the Monkey.

They aren't the only combinations that might not work of course. For example the Dog and the Dragon in a relationship will be arguing most of the time, while the Monkey and Tiger often have very different outlooks on life and there might be struggles between them most of the time with the Dragon using their fiery breath and the other snapping at their heels.
