Kavarna is a small town in northeastern Bulgaria. Its population is only about 12 000 inhabitants, but as it is located on the Black Sea coast, in summer seasons it attracts many locals and foreign tourists. The city is famous as a popular venue for rock concerts that bring thousands of fans to the beautiful bay. There is a bus station where you can take a bus to the nearby villages or the following places of interest:
- Golf courses in the villages of Topola and Bojurets;
- Deep - a place with restaurants serving mussels harvested in local farms;
- Cape Kaliakra - a two-mile long cape and one of the most beautiful and historic Capes in Europe. Situated close to the Romanian border, it is a favourite place for tourists looking for pretty sights and interesting historic places to visit north of Varna. Kaliakra is one of the few places in Europe where you can see rare species;
- Bolata - a wetland where nest more than 150 species of waterbirds;
- Yalata -National Archaeological Reserve, located in the village of Kamen Bryag. Be sure not to miss the thick homemade wine and spirits with the smell of herbs and figs. Visiting the National Reserve will bring you back in time and will let you experience the ancient life in the 3rd - 5th century AD. Here you can even see dancing dolphins;
- Taoukliman-Bird's Bay, where is located the popular Rousalka resort;
- "White Lagoon" - is a resort that is rapidly developing because of its proximity to several golf courses.
- Kavarna Land, which is one of the future projects of the municipality.
