In a few days, school s out for a few weeks and here you are stuck with a ton of science schoolwork to do. It doesn t matter if you are a high school student or a college student majoring in biology or general sciences. You go to the school s science department only to see that you can t lend one to finish all of your pending school work the soonest possible time. Unfortunately there are already those who have thought of the same thing and are already lining up to do the same thing you want to do. Some of them already walk out in front of you, their schoolwork in one hand and the microscope in another. What would you do?

It s Not Only for the General Sciences

Having your very own microscope isn t only for biology studies. A microscope is a scientific instrumeent of seeing things invisible to the naked eye. By the word invisible , it means that you are unable to see it because it s too small for your eyes to see. It comes from two Greek words mikros meaning small and skopein meaning to see.

However, there are different kinds of microscopes. They range in different shapes, sizes and models and their usage varies. You can study a great deal of a seed, plant stem, tree bark, or a leaf to a grain of sand to the composition of different kinds of rocks. One of these is the inverted microscope.

An inverted microscope is a type of microscope with its light source and condenser on the top, above the stage pointing down, while the objectives and turret are below the stage pointing up. Inverted microscopes are used to observe living cells or organisms at the bottom of a large container (e.g. a tissue culture flask) under more natural conditions rather than on a glass slide, as what happens with the conventional microscope.

Take note that inverted microscopes aren t cheap. So when you do decide to buy or rent one, don t buy it outof a short sighted convenience. Try to look farther into the future and see if if you will be needing it more and more with your schoolwork, it is much advicable to purchase one. However, if you need for it is only for a short time, like only a semester, it is wise to rent it somewhere like a medical or science supplies shop.

Own Your Time, Own Your Microscope

As what was mentioned above, do you really want to be in that situation wherein you have to line up at the Science labs just to get a chance to finish as many of your homeworks as possible in the most limited and cramped of time schedule? Of course, you don t! With your very own inverted microscope, you can do all of your school experiments and homework in the comfort of your own bedroom or your own very home. No lines, no waiting lists, and no annoying classmates pushing and shoving behind you. Just you, your schoolwork, and your microscope!

Imagine this: You have a few days till the autumn school break. You have a ton of homework to do in your biology as well as your general sciences subjects at school. They re not only homework but they re also do it yourself at home kind of experiments. You have only a few days to finish all of them before you go home. Yet because of your inverted microscope, you manage to not only finish them, but finish them right on time before the school break begins.

If you went for the school s inverted microscope, you would probably end up getting stuck and wasting your time on those lines at the science department for requests to use the school microscopes. Instead of using that time to finish all of them in time, you spend your time, an hour at a time at the science labs, finishing only but a few of your many schoolworks. Which do you prefer? Finish them all just before your school break starts, leaving you more time to pack and relax? Or leave things half done or unstarted? You decide.
