Do you agree with the title? Does it has something to do with tour past experience in writing? Well, when I used to be a student, I also experience that thing. That’s because people who don’t really love writing would always hate and feels uneasy when they start to write. Why is that so? I admit, that I had been one of those people for quite a long time ago and I also met a lot of people who have been experiencing the same thing.

Yes, there are people who are not fun in writing but they end up writing. How is that so? Well, all I can say is that writing a piece is a challenging thing that could ever happen in your English course. It requires most of your skills in English writing, grammar usage, planning and how your ideas work.

If you will learn to love the course, you will surely find yourself happily writing stuffs without any uneasiness. In writing, one should undergo drafting. It is best to write down your piece in a sheet of paper where you can still revise and edit it after you will end up writing the topic.

I’ve met some writers who don’t draft, choosing to go over each paragraph they put down, correcting it as they work. They rarely work very fast. Rather than go this route, it’s highly advisable to engage in drafting as a regular activity. It will help accelerate your pace, apart from allowing you to express your thoughts unimpeded.

Drafting refers to the preliminary composition of a rough form of text. It’s basically the first version of your piece, one that you intend to revise both manually and with the help of a writing software before turning in.

Since it’s a rough version of what’s going to be your final piece, writers are advised to get cracking fast on their drafts. With an outline (or some plan of sorts) in hand and your main thesis in front of you, lay down your thoughts to paper with impunity. The goal is to commit your ideas into flowing words and drafting is the easiest way to accomplish that.

The quality of first drafts usually sucks. Don’t let it get you down. That’s why you’re supposed to read through each one, gauging how it accomplishes the paper’s goal, how sufficiently it supports the thesis and how well it communicates your message. You proof it, clean it up and rewrite as needed, eventually turning out a final piece.

If you knew that the quality of first drafts usually sucks, and then you should be worried a lot more if you didn’t go over your work and then you submit it to your teacher or to your boss without even revising it. This will lead you to whole lot of trouble if that will happen.

If you haven’t tried drafting before, we highly suggest you do. While it may have been a pain to do back in the day (with handwriting and typewriters), it’s a breeze now, with word processing applications that come with all sorts of features.
