The web designer's portfolio website plays a pivotal role in the decision taken by the prospective website owners. If the prospective website owner does not find your website up to the mark there are hardly any chances of he/she becoming you client and availing your web designing services.

If you want to impress your prospective clients and make them avail your services you need to have a gorgeous portfolio website. Some of the prominent features of this king of website are as follows.

• Effective Communication
The website needs to communicate clearly and to the point about the services offered and the price of the packages. If the visitor does not know what sort of services are being offered or what services are included in different package he/she is never going to get the message clearly. The other piece of information that the visitors are on the lookout is about the pricing of the packages that you offer. Now as a good businessman offer them as many options as possible and mention the prices of every permutation and combination that you offer.

• Range of Projects
The website should be able to convince the visitor that the web designing services being offered through the website owners are going to be satisfactory. Some assignments that have been successfully completed should be mentioned. In this manner the visitor can develop trust upon the web design service provider. Unless and until the visitor is not going to feel that the web designer is going to deliver a successful website and be able to give personal attention to the project he/she is not going to place the order. The more the range of projects mentioned in the website more is the type of visitors that is going to feel comfortable and place the order.

• Redundant Elements
The website should be able to convey the message in the shortest and simplest ways. Sometimes the designers tend to overdo the website with graphics and other content. This may have a negative impact on the visitor. The excess of elements that are not needed should be deleted so that there are least chances of the visitor getting confused.

• Testimonials
The feedback of the clients that are satisfied with the services you offer, needs to be mentioned on the website. This feedback should be genuine and there should be some facility for the visitor to check the authenticity of the testimony provided. Many visitors and prospective clients nowadays are such that they do not blindly trust the testimonials on the websites.

• Contacts
The contacts mentioned in the website should work properly. Some people think that it is better to mention the physical address of the web designer's office while some people think that it is not necessary. If the physical address along with other contact details is mentioned the visitor or prospective client is more inclined to trust the service provider. If the contact details mentioned do not work, the element of doubt can set in.
