Succeeding with print posters is not about copying those professional poster samples. It is about knowing exactly how to handle your poster's appearance to customers to get that success that you want with them. So this goes beyond poster samples really.
If success is still illusive with your color posters, then you might still be missing a few things about your poster design and message. In this article, I will give you here five things that you might yet be not doing to your posters that might be preventing yourself from success in this endeavour. Hopefully you can realize the mistake in time and adjust your designs for your next poster printing.
1. You are not "distracting" customers – A pretty design for posters is good, but a "distracting" design type is better and more successful. Why? Because people go about day daily lives thinking about a lot of things like issues in work, their family, money etc. A pretty picture in your full color posters won't be enough to actually get them to pay attention. You need color posters that "distract" them from that normal trail of thought and of course attract them to reading further.
So if you do not have a distracting poster design yet for your marketing efforts, you might want to redo your composition and try and go for those distracting ones. It must always be highly visible and of course very original and perhaps even provocative or controversial.
2. You are not "connecting" to customers – Another thing that you might not be doing in your color posters is connecting to customers. A connection is important if your color poster is meant to succeed. You must not just sell with your color posters. You must actually talk to them in a personal level and of course relate to their needs and wants. The more you connect to them using their own words and colloquialisms, the better for your color posters.
3. You are not earning customer's trust – If you are not actively trying to get your customer's trust in your flyers then your prints are of course doomed to failure. Trust is a key factor in a color poster's success, and if you do not earn this no one will really want to do what your poster wants them to do.
So make sure to always try to earn the reader's trust. Make sure to print all the essential information about you, your company/project, license numbers and of course credentials and awards to really let people know that your posters are indeed serious.
4. You are not convincing them to act – You might also not be convincing people to actually act on your poster messages. Instead of just presenting them your product and telling them to "buy now!", you should try to be more convincing and tell them the act is more than just buying. People hate being "sold to" really in most commercials.
However they do like making decisions that lead them to what they want. So you can convince them to act if you tell them that responding to your posters will help them with their goals in life. This is what you should always do to ensure real success with your color posters.
5. You are not listening to your customers – Finally, what you might not be doing right now is actually listening to your customers or readers. Feedback is a key factor in the CONTINUING success of your color posters. That is why you should actively seek reactions from readers and of course you should learn from them exactly what you need to do.
So there you have it, the five things that you might not be doing yet for your color posters. Make sure to try and integrate all this to your poster printing process. Good Luck!
