What do they offer?
They offer a 3 year graduate program that will end with you getting a master's degree in Fine Arts. You will perform in a number a plays throughout your 3 year run. It is dream come true for any actor that really wants to throw themselves into their craft and learn with some of the best.
Is it hard to get into?
Yes. It is a very exclusive program that only admits 12 people every year. You must be committed if you want to be involved with this type of acting program. This is truly for the professional minded student.
If you decide to go acting college here, you will be put through some very serious and rigorous theater training. It is considered one of the best professional programs in the country.
One of the great things about this program is that, upon completion, the graduate is eligible to join the Actors' Equity Association.
What does this mean for the Actor?
Once you are in Actor's equity you are considered a professional actor. This is huge when it comes time get a job as an actor. You will automatically looked at as a professional when a casting director looks at your resume.
This just shows you that you don't have to live in New York, Chicago, or Los Angeles to become a professional actor. You can live in any state and find great acting colleges. You just need to pick out one of these acting colleges and stick with it one step at a time.
