Some of the things you need to consider when reviewing dog training schools is if you want your dog to receive training in private training classes or group training classes, or even a combination of the two. There are both advantages and disadvantages of both types of classes.

For example private training classes allow the trainer to devote all of his attention to the dog while the dog may not get as much personalized attention in a group setting that usually contain around ten dogs with their owners. These classes may be the best solution for dogs that are rather difficult to train, or have a problem with aggression, or are easily distracted with other dogs around. The group training class is good in that it gives a dog a chance to socialize with the other dogs in the class. Socialization is especially important for puppies.

What is it that you would like the school to teach? What do they specialize in? There are some dog training schools that offer only obedience training while other schools will give you instruction in police work, service dog training, tracking, agility, and more.
