I posted part one of how to get hits to your blog a few days ago which you will also find helpful. Also, in the first part I shared with you 3 ways in how you can get hits and traffic to your blog. Blogging is something that many marketers do for a number of reasons myself included, and is crucial when it comes to online marketing. In this article however, I will also take a similar route to that in part one and share some free ways with you that will tell you exactly how to get blog hits.
One powerful platform you can take advantage of is social media. When I first started blogging and even for a long time after, I was not taking advantage of social media in any way. All I was doing was re-tweeting my content and that was it. Fast forward to now, I am syndicating my content to social networks and using Facebook a lot more than I used to. Once I figured out ways of how to get blog hits using social media, I began to take action and started putting what I learnt into action. I do however greatly regret not doing this any sooner because I missed out on a lot of hits, traffic and maybe even leads. But every day is a learning day and the more applied knowledge you use, the more it will benefit you.
Another way of how to get blog hits is by using the search engines and taking advantage of SEO (Search Engine Optimization). I also do this on a consistent basis and it is one of the main reasons why I have been getting hits, traffic and leads. When it comes to using SEO, the main idea should be to get the top rankings right? Because why would you bother putting in the time and effort to not get ranked or get ranked on a page where nobody will hardly go on such as page 5 or 6. Once I learnt how to get blog hits by using the search engines, I started doing my keyword research, writing my content and then submitting it to both my blog and article directories. This has helped me in getting multiple first page rankings which has increased my blog hits, traffic and leads. The key to success here is being consistent and using the right keywords in the right places.
The third way of how to get blog hits is by using e-mail marketing. I am not talking about spamming people's inboxes with your blog link telling them to check it out. I am talking about doing it the right way and adding a link to your blog in your e-mail signature. If you are a person of value and are sending people helpful e-mails, they will see your signature link and will most likely click on it and check your blog out to see what else you have to offer. This may not be the fastest way of how to get blog hits, but it is definitely one that you should do because the more people you e-mail over time, the more hits and traffic your blog will get.
These are just another 3 action steps you can take to build up the popularity of your blog and get more hits. There are so many other things you can do as well, but the ones I have shared with you in these 2 parts, are the most effective and the ones I personally use or have used.
