Ian has signed an initial contract of 3 and half years from the 1st July 2008 and got off to a winning start first time out at the recent Russian Seniors in Moscow. His good form has continued with strong finishes in the Senior Open Championship and US Senior Open.

In 1991 he claimed his most famous victory in winning the Masters at Augusta beating Jose Maria Olazábal by a single shot. He was the first player to win the World Match Play Championship in 3 different decades and has proudly represented Wales in 14 World Cups, winning in 1987.
Having played in 8 Ryder Cups, the pinnacle came when winning as captain in 2006 with Team Europe claiming victory in the competition by a record equaling score of 18 and half to 9 and half points. This was also the first time Europe had achieved three successive victories.
