With gas prices at nearly $4 to the gallon, how do you feel about having witnessed prices rise and rise again, up to these astronomical levels? The oil giants are becoming wealthier and wealthier by the day, while you must struggle more and more to fill your tank, which you most likely have to do to put bread on the table. What if there existed yet another way, a superior way, to power your vehicle?

Because of the potentially devastating impact on oil profits, numerous promising alternatives have not got beyond the testing phase. Every time you take a look at your gas gauge, you are most likely wishing there was a better way to run your car. Now, you've probably seen the ads on the web pertaining to cars that run on water. A bad joke - or certainty? Water contains hydrogen, and some visionary car manufacturers are doing R&D on cars powered by hydrogen.

We have all witnessed the devastating result of the power of uncontrolled water, so it's no stretch to picture water pressure being used to convert hydrogen and oxygen. Due to the fact the public is not aware of cars like this, it seems a fantasy - but don't be tricked, they exist right now. It took more than twenty years after conception before the electric car came into public use. Presently, you would have to wait in a queue over a year-long to get a Smart Car of America, which is powered completely by electricity. There is definitely a need to get rid of fuel cars for those that run on something else.

Once upon a time gasoline was an inexpensive type of energy for the car, and natural gas for the household. Pollution from gas has gotten out of control, while customers of both varieties have had to pay raising prices. The guys who get blamed a whole lot, because they drew our awareness to the problem, are the environmentalists, but in reality we should thank them because our air is a lot better than it would have been otherwise. They ensured that the world's supply of air and water continued to be relatively clean, but had to suffer the pain of name-calling and ridicule in the process. Because of them, gas runs cleaner after ethanol is actually included with it. But more needs to be carried out, with sky-high oil prices that continue to climb, and most of our gas coming from overseas.

Instead of being dependent on international oil, wouldn't it be wonderful to cut them out completely, and that could possibly happen with a car engine that would run on hydrogen and oxygen burning. Does it appear too good to be correct to use common tap water to run your car? Cars which will run on hydrogen are already being experimented on by both Ford and Chevy. When they finally get released years from now, the waiting list for their new hydrogen driven vehicle will probably be miles long .

Imagine cutting out oil from abroad once and for all, which would be possible if a car that ran on hydrogen and oxygen combustion was successfully developed. Does it seem too good to be true to use ordinary tap water to run your car? Both Ford along with Chevrolet are at present exploring a car that runs on hydrogen. Expect an enormous waiting list when their hydrogen-powered vehicles are finally introduced, many years from now.
