The internet is an unbelievable place to make money, which is why mastering the art of internet marketing is so vital. That being said, many different marketers swear by many different techniques - making it challenging to find the "best" one.
This is my take on the subject.You're probably going to either love or hate this answer, but that's just how it goes. Bottom line: this is one of the most fundamental facts about succeeding online that I've discovered - so much so that I believe every marketer must embrace it at some point.

I'll make this as direct as possible.
The best marketing technique is whatever you can do consistently and see results from.
There. See? Not everyone is going to like hearing that, but there it is.
Personally, I've found that marketing techniques are a lot like technology: as soon as you get comfortable with the newest one, something else that sounds even better gets announced.
Now, that doesn't mean I don't think there are some unbelievable options out there, but you can't jump around. You have to work at something long enough to get and the grow some real results, or you'll just keep spinning your wheels.
Think about swapping marketing strategies as though you were someone swapping diets. This week no carbs, but then you change your mind and focus on a high protein level. A month later you decide to go vegetarian for a while but then you see a new miracle smoothing on TV that you just HAVE to try...
That kind of constant change would leave your body in complete chaos. Maybe you'd see some initial results here and there, but then you're off to the next miracle method and not really going anywhere fast.
What you would need to do would be to implement day to day lifestyle changes. Things that you could do consistently, long term in order to see any real substantial results.
Internet marketing is no different. You can't decide this week you like PPC, and then when you don't get the results you desire, jump into article marketing. Then, you decide that isn't working and you jump into social media marketing.
Consistent, massive action is the ONLY way to get the most out of ANY strategy. In the end, there really isn't any one perfect marketing strategy out there. It all depends on who you are and how you work.
Just as we all have differing dietary needs, we also all have different comfort levels in marketing.
Here's the bottom line: find a strategy that works for you and get good at it. Implement it into your business on a consistent basis and you will see consistent results.
Depending on the internet marketing strategy you choose, it may take some time, but don't give up. Ironically, so many people give up right before they could have been successful. Don't let that be you!
