No matter how well suited or "made" for one another two people are, relationships still take work. The occasional fight or disagreement will still take place. Over 50% of marriages fail, and even more relationships end in break-ups. Are you sitting there now asking yourself "why she left me?" Here are some reasons you might want to consider:
1 - You Did So Much At The Beginning And So Little Near The End
In the beginning of a typical relationship between a man and a woman, us men tend to do more for the woman in order to gain their reciprocal affection or to win them over. We take them out often. We surprise them with random gifsts like flowers and jewelry. Unfortunately, once we're in an established relationship with a woman for awhile, we often stop most of the courting gestures as we relax into the comfort of the predictable. Of course, predictable isn't exactly exciting to the woman, and this is where the sparks in the relationship begin to decline.
2 - You Tried To Control Her
Women, just like men, have their own interests and individual needs outside of the relationship. When you try to control them, for example, by not "allowing" them to go out with friends without you, then you are being controlling. She needs to be able to have the space and freedom to have a life beyond her relationship with you, and you must be able to trust her to do so.
3 - You Didn't Listen to Her
More than likely, there were plenty of times in the relationship where she may have asked you to do something for her, and you didn't. Then you wondered why she gets so upset, shouting "I asked you like 5 times!" Well, start listening, my friend, and try not to think about your response before she's even done talking. Concentrate on what she says, then and only then, you respond.
4 - You Didn't Spend Time With Her
I know. You saw her everyday, in the morning, and during dinner, and you're probably asking, "wasn't that spending time with her?" In a word, no. What I'm talking about is spending quality time with her. For a reltionship to survive, you need to spend time reconnecting, laughing, and sharing your thoughts and feelings much like you did when you first started dating. Distance between you and she begins at the point where the two of you no longer make time for one another to connect on an intimate level.
5 - She Couldn't Be Who She Really Is
Very few people change significantly regardless of how long they are in a relationship with someone. If she has a few quirks that just drive you crazy sometimes, then you might as well learn to live with them if you want the relationship to continue. She isn't going to change. Learn to love everything about her, and just let her be herself. Keep in mind that there are plenty of little quirks that you have that certainly weren't "perfect" in her eyes either.
