Around the world today many individuals will be making profits from eBay. Some of these people will be supplementing an existing income, some making a living from the famous auction website while others will be amassing incredible amounts of wealth. Unfortunately it isn't as easy as it used to be to make your millions through eBay, however making a good living or even more is still a distinct possibility for those prepared to do their research, listen to advice and utilise the often misunderstood eBay stores.

First things first, let's define exactly what eBay stores are. Well an eBay shop or store allows you to clearly and attractively display every item that you have for sale on one page. A shop should be focused around a niche market area, for example mobile phone accessories, meaning that when a prospective buyer logs onto your store they can instantly see that you are an expert in the area. Any advantage that you can gain in a highly competitive industry is a big plus, and the appearance of being an expert in your field will definitely help your profits to soar.

Another advantage when it comes to eBay stores is that all of your items will be searchable in the usual way. This is likely to bring more viewers back to look at your entire range of products rather than just the one auction. Likewise, the link to your specific shop can be placed strategically around the internet to increase the amount of traffic drawn to you, and not simply to an eBay auction that would likely have expired by the time most people found it.

Hopefully you are already starting to see the benefits of establishing an eBay shop for your own selling on this internet auction site. However the journey doesn't end after simply setting up your store, now you'll need to get people to it. Don't think that this is an impossible goal because even with these simple tips you could start to notice a significant increase of visitors:

- Link to your shop in every auction that you list. When you're selling an item don't forget to prominently position a link back to your store to allow anyone interested to follow it. You might be pleasantly surprised how much traffic this alone can generate to your store.

- eBay stores have many customisation options. You can place a signature image onto your page which is something that you should definitely do. If you aren't particularly artistic or creative yourself then hire a freelancer to help you make your page stand out from the crowd. You can easily find freelance help for a very reasonable rate online; you may even find an eBay expert.

- Promote your shop on eBay and in other places online. Linking back from auctions is one method, but why not also add a link to the store in the email that they receive to inform them that they have won your auction? Why not add a signature with a link to your store into your normal email signature? Or link to your shop through different forums related to your niche area?

These strategies will help you to maximise the profits that you could generate by selling on eBay but it doesn't end there. Do some research and you'll find plenty of ways to increase the traffic to your new eBay store.
