A sea-shell tabletop fountain a perfect addition to your desk. It creates calm aura and relaxes your senses. When the water flows through the sea-shell, it creates a mildly reflective surface, which is known for its ability to draw attention and melt away your stress.

Material you would need to design as sea shell tabletop fountain are:

1. A reservoir bowl about 4” deep and 10” in diameter.
2. A pump (battery operated or electric) – Capacity 80 GPH (gallons per hour)
3. A large seashell
4. Vinyl hose
5. Decorative elements like green flora or green bamboo and river stones.

Before we begin the assembly of a sea-shell tabletop fountain, the you would need to drill the base of the sea-shell without breaking it. This may be accomplished using a small hand-held grinder or a light weight drilling machine. Make sure the drilled hole is no bigger that 10 mm in diameter.

Here are the 3 Easy Steps to effortlessly design a beautiful and relaxing sea shell tabletop fountain:

Step 1: Get the Bowl Ready
Place the pump on one of the edges of the bowl, preferably, the back-edge of the bowl. Set the water flow adjustment to lowest for now. Place the river stones and small rocks around the pump so it becomes invisible. Now select a large sea-shell (e.g. conch, abalone, or a conch) as your main fountain piece. Set it on top of the bowl so that it is positioned above the pump. Place the narrow end of the shell near the pump.

Step 2: Attach The Vinyl Hose
This is the most important aspect of setting up your fountain. Create a tubing short enough to hide within the rocks and connect one end of it to the pump spout (outlet of pump). Insert the other end in the drilled hole of sea shell base. To do this correctly, you would have to remove some stones and rocks.

Step 3: Place the shell.
Positioning of shell is supposed to be on top of the pile of stones. Make sure that the overall assembly (fountain unit including bowl reservoir, stones, and the shell) are in proportion. If everything looks good, mark the shell with a pencil for future reference.

Following these three steps carefully will get you a start you off on path of designing a beautiful sea-shell fountain. The only things left to do after finishing the layout is to anchor the fountain elements into one piece, and test the water flow to adjust it to the optimal rate. Additionally, if you wish, you may add some green fern plants or flora, or mosaic to decorate your sea-shell fountain and enhance it’s serene appeal.
