The internet is an amazing place to make money, which is why mastering the art of internet marketing is so essential. That being said, many different marketers swear by many different methods - making it challenging to find the "best" one.
Here's what I believe.You're probably going to either love or hate this answer, but that's just how it goes. Bottom line: this is one of the most fundamental facts about succeeding online that I've discovered - so much so that I believe every marketer must embrace it at some point.
What Is The Number 1 Internet Marketing Strategy?
I'll make this as direct as possible.
It's the one you are consistent with and that brings you consistent results.
I told you. Some of you weren't going to like my answer.
Internet marketing strategies are like cell phones: you find one you love, and then something new comes out a week later.
Now, not all new strategies are bad - in fact it's a good idea to keep your eyes open and adapt to changes in the industry - but don't spend all your time chasing the newest tricks. Focus your efforts and get some results before moving on to master something new.
Compare marketing to dieting. If you were to start this great new diet where you couldn't eat any red meat, and then next week you started a diet where you had to eat lots of red meat, and then the week after, you couldn't eat any meat and so on...
How long do you think your body could keep that up? How effective do you really think it would be to keep jumping around between strategies that could very well be conflicting with one another? Not very.
Instead of jumping from option to option, barely making any real progress, you'd need to choose some fundamental changes in your life and stick with them until they started bringing results. Every time you move on to something new you are effectively starting from scratch.
Internet marketing is no different. You need to lay a foundation for whatever marketing you are going to do. You can't spend a week posting videos on YouTube, then get bored and throw a thousand dollars into a pay per click campaign only to give up and decide article marketing is a better way to go - all in the course of a month - and expect to get any real results from any of them.
Starting a new method might generate some results in the beginning, and if so, GREAT! Stick with it and be consistent. Don't throw up your hands if thing don't skyrocket right away. In the end, there really isn't any one perfect marketing method out there. It all depends on who you are and how you work.
Just like we all have different dietary needs and desires, we all have varying comfort levels and passions for different marketing strategies.
The key thing is that you find the one that works for you and master it. Your marketing results will only be as consistent as your efforts.
Depending on the internet marketing strategy you choose, it may take some time, but don't give up. Unfortunately, most people give up right before they could have been successful. Don't let that be you!
