There is a great dealof money to be made online and learning internet marketing is quite a valuable skill. Now, what strategy works best has been a topic of debate for years.
This is my take on the subject.You're probably going to either love or hate this answer, but that's just how it goes. Bottom line: this is one of the most fundamental facts about succeeding online that I've discovered - so much so that I believe every marketer must embrace it at some point.

I am going to keep this simple.
It's the one you are consistent with and that brings you consistent results.
There. See? Not everyone is going to like hearing that, but there it is.
Personally, I've found that marketing techniques are a lot like technology: as soon as you get comfortable with the newest one, something else that sounds even better gets announced.
Now, not all new strategies are bad - in fact it's a good idea to keep your eyes open and adapt to changes in the industry - but don't spend all your time chasing the newest tricks. Focus your efforts and get some results before moving on to master something new.
Compare marketing to dieting. If you were to start this great new diet where you couldn't eat any red meat, and then next week you started a diet where you had to eat lots of red meat, and then the week after, you couldn't eat any meat and so on...
Your body would be absolutely confused and you wouldn't really be making any long term changes. You may lose a pound or two here or there, but you wouldn't be able to keep bouncing around like this from diet to diet.
Wouldn't it make more sense to implement some real long term changes in your life? These would be things you could do consistently and build some real results with.
Internet marketing is the exact same way. You need to lay a foundation for whatever marketing you are going to do. You can't spend a week posting videos on YouTube, then get bored and throw five hundred dollars into a PPC campaign only to give up and decide article marketing is a better way to go - all in the course of a month - and expect to get any significant results from any of them.
Consistent, massive action is the ONLY way to get the most out of ANY strategy. In the end, there really isn't any one perfect marketing method out there. It all depends on who you are and how you work.
Just as we all have differing dietary needs, we also all have different comfort levels in marketing.
The crucial thing is that you find the one that works for you and master it. Your marketing results will only be as consistent as your efforts.
Depending on the internet marketing strategy you choose, it may take some time, but don't give up. Sadly, most people give up right before they could have been successful. Don't let that be you!
