If you plan every detail, well ahead, of your prom night you can be assured of a most enchanting evening that if you didn t know better you would think it was a dream. With thorough preparation you will be able to relax and enjoy this most special and memorable night with out feeling anxious.

One item for your prom night that is never too early to start searching for is your prom dress. Have a budget in mind and stick to it as it easy to get carried away. Make up your mind early if you really must have a designer label, you can begin putting some money aside. Your biggest spend will be on your dress so make sure you have enough in the pot to buy accessories.

Selecting Your Prom Dress:

There are many color selections, style ranges and prices to suit most budgets when it comes to purchasing a prom dress. Your primary objective is to try to seek out a stunning dress that out shines everyone else s, you can do this by carefully selecting from the available styles of hem length, skirt and shoulder styles, for example. It is a good idea to scan though fashion magazines to give you some ideas of designs that might suit and flatter your figure.

Accessorizing any dress including, prom dresses, bridesmaids gowns, and other formal dresses, is important but you must not go over the top as you may distract from your beautiful dress. Jewelry is a matter of personal taste and should be chosen to complement your dress, for example, wear earrings and a matching necklace that complement your outfit. Rhinestones add an elegant and classy look and perhaps wear your hair in an upswept style to add an air of sophistication.

If you choose or need to carry a handbag or purse keep it in style with your dress and large enough to carry any essential necessities such as money, ID card, mobile phone and lip gloss but not so big so as to look like your carrying a shopping bag, this is not a good look on your prom night.

Finishing Touches:

At this stage you should have your dress, accessories and shoes. Try everything on well before the occasion, make any necessary alterations. Try different hairstyles, in fact, it is quite a good idea to wear your hair in a different style to what people are used to seeing you with, so if you wear your hair up normally, then try a style that is flowing and perhaps some curls or waves.

Experiment with your make up, your nail and lipstick color two or three weeks before the big night. Be ready and practiced well in advance to avoid any disappointment by leaving things too late.

It is never too early to shop for your prom dress and it is all part of the occasion. With early planning you will be sure to get the dress of your dreams and have a night to remember.
