were you surprised when you found out your ipad didn't come with an user manual or instructions?
Like many ipad users you've probably now realised that Apple - in their infinite wisdom - didn't bother to include a manual. That's because Apple's tact is to manufacture a product for maximum ease of use. They want you to just 'pick up and play'. You're just supposed to intuitively search through all the features to master everything. For a lot of the features this does actually hold true. The ipad is amazingly intuitive - that's probably one of the main reasons why you bought it!
But this is no simple gizmo. There is a plethora of features, tricks, customizations and settings to master and unless you happen to know a computer geek that is prepared to give you an insight you'll likely never know the full extent of what your ipad can do. That would be a pity as the ipad costs a lot of money for most people that invest in it.
When you step into a new car for the first time you will know how to intuitively drive the car but you certainly won't know what all the new technology benefits are. Inevitably this takes some trial and error where you wantonly play with buttons until you know what they do. Or you can also refer to the car's manual.
If you're like me however, you probably don't even have time to read manuals. In our digital age a lot more of the information we take in is in bite-size video format. There are literally millions of instructional videos to be found on the net that provide info on almost anything you can think of. If it is something that can be learned and studied, chances are someone's made a video about it. Compared to reading or audio files, video just seems the most natural and simplistic to take in. We're all so used to watching tv and films anyway.
Handily, a self confessed 'super geek' has produced a step-by-step guide to getting the most out of your ipad. This is aimed at both novices and intermediate users alike. The videos are split into different categories and allow you to break down the various features and settings of the ipad. If there's something you want to know how to do there will be a video you can watch. You can then watch at a time most convienient to yourself. Personally I've had great results from watching as little as 10-15mins per day.
The ipad's capabilities are really vast and after you've started to get to grips with everything you'll very likely find yourself amazing your family and friends with the untapped features and cool tricks you wouldn't dream of searching for on google.
