The first international investment and commercial real estate fair opens today inside the Croatian capital Zagreb, reported Croatian radio television.
REXPO Zagreb 2012 can have numerous investment projects which can be underway or will begin in Croatia as well as the Adriatic region.
A number of companies, banks, investment agencies yet others will occupy over 35 stands. There will also be numerous lectures and discussion panels held on the expo which finishes on 20 April.
Over 20 investment projects inside tourism, infrastructure and services sectors: Croatia is back in Italy with the project 'Be Croactive', launched in 2007 from the Croatian Chamber of Economy with the aim of promoting Croatian products and attracting investors towards the country. In this way Croatia is fostering the involvement of foreign countries in the Expo Italian Real Estate, set to take place between June 5 and June 7 with the Fieramilano exhibition grounds.
Among the investment opportunities selected will be the Paman Resort, a 700-million-euro project which concerns this tropical isle by the same name while watching city of Zara for the creation of a luxury resort with integrated services for five,000 beds; the modernisation and extension with the Rijeka city airport, which with 16 million euros in expenditure aims to improve services and facilities for passengers; as well as the shopping centre Colloseum City Park, in the city of Slavonski Brod (13 million euros).
Tourism is one of the country's most important sectors, and in 2011 it generated revenue of 6 billion euros (18% of GDP).
