Your dentist doesn't just brush your teeth. He's not there just to tell you to floss your teeth either. Your oral care cannot only consist of daily brushing, as important as that is. A dentist services community health by getting rid of that nasty plaque. Only the dentist can really get rid of the plaque on your teeth. Your dentist knows that plaque is made up of microbes that can be hazardous to your health. If you went to dental school, you would know what your dentist knows. You would know that the plaque on your teeth ferment sugars and cause acid buildup. That acid buildup attaches to your teeth and the enamel degrades.

That is how cavities are created. Only your dentist can prevent that plaque from sticking around and causing these health issues. The dentist isn't just about filling cavities and taking care of health issues after the fact. The dentist performs dental services that prevent these things from happening in the first place. It is important to protect your teeth. Not just repair them. Your teeth cannot always be easily repaired. They don't keep growing in. Any dentist would tell you that. Your dental health is important because once you lose your baby teeth, you only have one set for the rest of your life!

Your dentist probably did not have to go to dental school to know that you only have one set of teeth. He did, however, go to dental school to learn how to care for those teeth. Dental schools teach a future dentist to take preventative action against plaque on your teeth. Nobody wants cavities. Nobody wants to go through scary dental services either. That is why you need to take care of your teeth. You must brush and floss every day to prevent the microbes from building up.

When your dentist tells you to brush your teeth, it is not because he is being bossy. It is because your dentist knows that your teeth are important to your oral health, and your overall health. Good oral care will help you feel confident about your teeth and your smile. Dental services will help you care for your teeth when you can't. You can only do as much as you can do, by brushing your teeth, and flossing every day. Your dentist can further your dental care by taking care of any plaque buildup since your last visit.

Like I said, the dentist isn't there to make you brush your teeth and floss, it is important to see the dentist so that he can fight the microbes that build up into plaque. These microbes are in your mouth and on your teeth no matter what. No amount of brushing your teeth will stop these microbes from endangering your teeth. Any amount of sugar that you eat will be fermented by these germs. Your teeth will then be bombarded by the acid that builds up and the enamel of your teeth will be ripped apart.
