Disneyland Paris is located in Marne-la-Vallee in the eastern suburbs of Paris and was formerly called Eurodisney. This is the second theme park by Disney opened outside of the United States. It has been recorded that the number of visitors to Disneyland Paris are much more than the visitors to the Eiffel Tower which is a popular tourist destination in Paris.
Disneyland Paris has two theme parks Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park which is filled with retail outlets, Disney restaurants & bars, various entertainment packages and as many as fourteen hotels, seven that are owned and operated by Disney themselves.
There are many entertainment options in Disneyland Paris and the top five attractions of Disneyland Park are said to be Main Street USA, Fantasyland, Discoveryland, Frontierland, and Adventureland. Apart from the larger more adventurous rides there are many rides which can be enjoyed by young and old people alike. While the younger ones are attracted towards "It's a small world" in Fantasyland, the older ones love "Mad Hatter's Tea cup" also in Fantasyland or the "Pirates of the Caribbean" over in Adventureland. The main attractions are of course the Disney characters and at the restaurants of Disneyland Paris one can also indulge in favourite character dining as well. Another interesting feature are the party's at Disney Paris. Disney have family parades all year round which attracts many, many visitors in a Magical Kingdom, every day's a party at Disneyland Paris.
The magical world of cinema and television can be discovered at the Walt Disney Studios Park. It is in fact said that this is the second park in the world to build a relation between MGM and Walt Disney Company. The Walt Disney Studios Park not only gives an insight about the world of cinema but it also allows you to enjoy many exciting shows and even a backlot studio tram tour. The Front Lot is our Tinsel Town tribute, shining in star-studded surroundings, The Production Courtyard, is where you can get behind the scenes, see how movie magic is made and detour via "disaster". Toon Studio, is where you can uncover secrets of Disney animation and see legendary moments spring into life and at the Backlot it's all 'action' amid the meteors, musical adventures and mind boggling effects. One can explore the studios here and preview a few blockbusters. You can also be a star at one of the many shows and enjoy yourself interacting with the Disney characters.
You can also meet the Disney Characters, everybody has their favourite one, you can get the Disney Characters autograph or just have that once in a life time photograph taken with them. The top five attractions here are Crush's coaster where you can dive into a whirlpool of adventure, join Nemo and friends as you explore beautiful coral reefs, a submarine wreck in the ocean and meet the sharks Bruce, Chum & Anchor, Car Race Rally, Toy Story Play Land including Toy soldiers parachute drop, slinky dog zigzag spin, RC Racer, ,etc. Apart from this there are many shows and parades that give the visitors awesome Disney entertainment.
The 20th Anniversary at Disneyland Paris? is going to be the most anticipated event ever, the truly magical programme of events is being held from 1st April 2012 to September 2012. This event is going to kick off with the premier of Disney Dreams - A Magical Immersive Night time Spectacular. This event is going to be the most amazing event in the history of Disneyland Paris where each night Sleeping Beauty's Castle will see spectacular flights of fancy wrapped around it as Peter Pan's shadow escapes to bring you the rainbow reality of Dreams, it will be a dazzling visual effects feast.
Disney Magic on Parade a show stopper at the 15th anniversary celebrations in the name of is going to recreate the same magic in the 20th anniversarys celebrations as well, flying out from their unforgettable stories trailing colour, light, music and magic, they glide through the park's party atmosphere, before Mickey and friends shine in the most wonderful finale.
NEW - Meet Mickey Mouse, Mickey is taking time out and welcomes you to meet him backstage for the first time ever in his rehearsal room of his theatre in Fantasyland, on your way to the stage door, you will be able to enjoy a tour of the ornate music hall and laugh along with some classic short films featuring the one and only Mickey and friends, once backstage you'll be invited to join Mickey for a special audience with the star himself who will share with you some of his favourite costumes and props and pose for that special souvenir photo, only at the 20th Anniversary Celebration.
Also, the mysterious Disney's Main Street USA is said to be the fourth and the final event of the anniversary celebrations, where excitement will be in the air, as one of the most famous streets in the world celebrates it's 20th Anniversary, Main Street USA welcomes you to this unique celebration of lights, magic and colours and in true Disney style more twinkles and memorable parades than ever before with newly designed costumes for your beloved Disney Character.
