There is a lotof money to be made online and learning internet marketing is certainly a valuable skill. Sorting out what marketing technique(s) work best can be a challenge - simply because there are so many ways to approach the subject.
This is what I usually say when asked what the best marketing technique is.This is one of those answers that people either love or hate. In the end, all I can offer is what I've found from my own experiences, and that I believe it to be a valuable lesson for anyone in this industry to grasp.
What Is The Number One Internet Marketing Strategy?
I am going to keep this simple.
It's the one you are consistent with and that brings you consistent results.
I told you. Some of you weren't going to like my answer.
Personally, I've found that marketing techniques are a whole lot like technology: as soon as you get comfortable with the newest one, something else that sounds even better gets announced.
Now, that doesn't mean I don't think there are some unbelievable options out there, but you can't jump around. You have to work at something long enough to get and the grow some real results, or you'll just keep spinning your wheels.
Constantly jumping from one strategy to another is a whole lot like constantly trying new weight loss methods. Don't eat one thing for a week, then focus on getting a whole lot of something else the week after that, and on and on it goes.
That kind of constant fluctuation would leave your body in complete chaos. Maybe you'd see some initial results here and there, but then you're off to the next miracle method and not really going anywhere fast.
Wouldn't it make more sense to implement some real long term changes in your life? These would be things you could do consistently and build some real results with.
It's the same thing with internet marketing. You can't decide this week you like PPC, and then when you don't get the results you desire, jump into article marketing. Then, you decide that isn't working and you jump into social media marketing.
You may see a little bit in the way of results, but you will see huge results if you take consistent, massive action. In the end, there really isn't any one perfect marketing technique out there. It all depends on who you are and how you work.
We all have different needs when it comes to things like diet and exercise, because we are all unique. The same goes for marketing: unique people require unique strategies.
Here's the bottom line: find a strategy that works for you and get good at it. Your marketing results will only be as consistent as your efforts.
Depending on the strategy, it may take some time, but don't give up. Sadly, so many people give up right before they could have been successful. Don't let that be you!
