Red Bull wants filmmakers, pro and amateur, to submit 30-second pitches about their next big idea. If idea meets RedBull's standards for greatness, they will help make it happen.
For some people, such an open-ended assignment is overwhelming and hard to grasp. At Zooppa, we are here to help.
Inspiration for ideas and grand concepts come from the right side of the brain. Unfortunately, many of us naturally hang out on the left side; the analytical side that begs for specific directions and focus.Red Bull inspirational pic
To assist you in making the jump to inspiration mode and get the right hemisphere moving, we think it is best to give some examples of big thinkers and what they set out to do.
There are thousands of inspirational people to choose from, however we selected five people RedBull might have supported had they submitted their big idea in the days of yore.
Richard Branson: While best known for being an uber successful business mogel, Richard Branson's world record attempts have also put him into the history books. While he has failed many times attempting his feats, successes include breaking the world record for crossing the Pacific in a balloon and the record for crossing the English channel in an amphibious vehicle.
'The balloons only have one life and the only way of finding out whether they work is to attempt to fly around the world.'
Philippe Petit: At 15-years-old, Petit left home to teach himself juggling, carpentry and the unicycle, eventually becoming the world's only famous high-wire walker. Petit is most celebrated for his 200ft walk between the World Trade Center towers where he spent 45 minutes walking 1,400 feet above Manhattan.
"Life should be lived on the edge of life. You have to exercise rebellion: to refuse to tape yourself to rules, to refuse your own success, to refuse to repeat yourself, to see every day, every year, every idea as a true challenge - and then you are going to live your life on a tightrope."

Shepard Fairey: We want to be sure to include Shepard in our list, as not all great ideas have to be dangerous or gutsy one-shot events. His iconic Hope poster used for the 2008 Obama campaign has become a staple in modern art and culture. We are especially impressed with him because he was one of the first people to tie the art and skateboard worlds together. Also known for the Obey campaign, Fairey has left an incredible impact by not being afraid to think big.
"If being original means having to throw paint in front of a jet turbine to hit a canvas 50 ft away then lets not be original."

Bear Gryllz: Where do we start with Bear? He has put himself into enough dangerous situations to film 5 seasons of Man vs. Wild. While often criticized for having help from his Bear Grylls, survival expertcrew, he has dreamt up a whole host of challenges very few of us would try or even think of. Who could forget when he dived out of an up-side-down biplane or the numerous times he 'enters' his survival situation by base-jumping out of a helicopter. Now that his contract is expired with Discovery, who knows what he will do next.
"Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well presented body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting, "WOW..what a ride!"
David Blaine: The world of magic has always been ridiculed, and that definitely does not exclude the career of David Blaine. However, we can't help being amazed by what he has pulled off, such as holding his breath underwater for 17 minutes or being buried alive for seven days. We don't want you to take risks and suffer as much as he does, but we have to admire his creativity and ability to think outside the box, even if he is literally stuck in a box for 44 days. "In truth, the only restrictions on our capacity to astonish ourselves and each other are imposed by our own minds."
