Life is quite difficult for Andrew Johnston who lives in a public housing estate and is raised by his single parent mother. Determined to ensure success Andrew says that he really wants to make something of his life.
It's simply amazing to see such a young man driven to provide an improved life for his mum and to follow his dream in being a well known singing sensation. And a sensation he is especially when he begins to sing.so moving.so angelic!
Andrew's mother says that winning the Britain's Got Talent competition gives Andrew the future that she cannot give him. Singing makes Andrew happy and if Andrew wins he's going to be happy forever!
Bullies make you feel that you can't do anything but that's wrong, you certainly can do anything. You simply have to put your mind to it and go for it!
The angelic voice of Andrew Johnston goes all the way to the finals in 2008 and it basically comes down to 3 remaining contestants; Himself, duo dance group Signature and George Sampson. If you haven't seen the exciting 13 year old street dancer George Sampson yet please check out my blog post of George by first clicking on the Home tab in the top left hand corner and scroll down the page until you see the George Sampson blogpost.
What's Andrew Johnston been up to since appearing on Britain's Got Talent?
Since appearing on the talent show Andrew Johnston has in fact come out with his own Album called One Voice. My heart goes out to Andrew for he was truly a worthy contender in 2008. In the end young George Sampson was voted as the winner by British viewers.
Andrew Johnston is just like the rest of us.
These would be the moments I live for.to be surprised by way of a driven young man like "Andrew Johnston" who's raised by a single parent in public housing, facing daily financial struggles and in addition to that being afflicted by bullying at school since the age of 6! And all the while possessing a desire and determination to follow along with his dreams.
I'm sure we could all relate to being in a situation that's definately not where we really want to be and feeling dissatisfied with the daily grind. Having the confidence in yourself to take action and as the co-founder of empowernetwork.com said to me,
DON'T BE A WUSSY!"
was the push I personally needed seriously to turn my life around.
If you have the desire to succeed and are driven to making a difference for yourself and your loved ones just as Andrew Johnston showed us all in his first audition, that difference for you can be empowernetwork.com.
