I remember, for example, the first time I got offered more than $1,000,000 to join a Network Marketing company - and just be a distributor.
(In other words, they wanted to pay me $1,000,000 to recruit, and build a downline under contract)
It was 2010, and I had just started building a new team. I turned it down.
Why?
Because I don't have an ego about it, didn't want fake recognition, didn't need the money, and my integrity is more important to me than what I would have had to sacrifice to take the million.
See, in this business, we do what we do because of a certain vision - and when we act out of alignment with that, we lose ourselves.
What was wrong with taking the cash? Well, nothing, really - except that I didn't get into this business to be a slave, I got in it to be free.
Contracts like the one I would have had to sign would have enslaved me - like a corporate job, for the next 2 years.
I'd rather live in a van.
I discovered something about myself early on - that after my first $30,000 during the month, I don't really need much money. I can pretty much travel wherever I want, do whatever I want, hang out with whoever I want.
.whenever I want, for $30,000 a month.
And I also discovered that when you know what you're doing.
.$30,000 a month is EASY.
So I got really good at turning opportunities down, that truthfully, could make me millions of dollars, but in doing so, inhibit my freedom, my vision, my truth about why I do what I do.
I started questioning everything that came across my desk with one filter:
"Will this help me live MY VISION? Or will it just make me a bunch of money?"
If you look at the top of this site (on the front of the site) - it says: "Empower Network | Building A Business While Having A Life."
The reason it says that, is because it's not just about the money.
.it's ALSO about the FREEDOM!
What does that mean?
It means YOU being in control.
Most of the time, when you're a part of a company, you're not in control of your vision, the owner is. Here, as long as it's not illegal, we let people do what they want - EVEN if we disagree with it.
Why?
Let me give you an example. The other day, I had a guy put a video up, and I told him that it would probably be in his best interest to take it down, but he could do what he chose.
He left it up, and that's ok.
Why? People can make their own decisions here. We let people speak their mind, no matter what they feel. We are here to Empower others, and lift them up, not to take away the spark that they have inside.
I didn't dock his pay, chew him out, or do anything but smile
Why am I telling you this?
Because I want you to be free.
I want you to reach your dreams in life.
I want your power to be restored.
I want you to live in your vision.
And I'll be there, every step of the way - focused like a dog with his teeth clamped around a T-Bone Steak on my vision, of helping you to be free.
In that, there are certain things that I won't do.
I won't recommend every product that comes out.
I won't hop on the 'Guru bandwagon' just to help you spend money.
Why?
I'm not here for the JV's, I'm not here to be the riches guy online - I'm here for the people. Period.
I want the richest team.
