The Monti Government is working in Italy to bring to all citizens an available broadband. The protocol operations are growing rapidly across the country, giving a firm legal basis for future investments from the public in technology.
What has been done in this respect by previous administrations? Practically nothing, because the CIPE, which is the supreme repository of all public investments, has allocated 800 million last year in terms of broadband, but unfortunately these have been again and again blocked, diverted to other "priorities ". To understand how it develops with the Decreto Digitalia della DigitPA, you must then wait for the permanent organs of the senate and parliament, as very often some of the most compelling premises fall before the approval. In this sense it is interesting to note that in fact this decree is not getting the right proportion of strength than would be expected in this times of great economic dangers.
This is because in reality they were already approved packages of lesser importance but which, however, have achieved greater importance than economic investment on broadband. Italy is a country that is still struggling to understand how the only way out of this crisis is to try to convert their assets "analog" in the digital world, in order to achieve greater flexibility and competitiveness in worldwide. This is now very difficult for companies of this country, and that is why it is desirable that as soon as this intervention is introduced public financing, it would be important not only from a purely economic point of view, but also the stimulation of our cultural population, which still sees the Internet as a tool to distrust. Just think what would benefit thenet- economy by a work of this kind. Let's hope to see this legal proposal as soon as possible.
