Chrysler300c is different from other cars because it has rear wheel drive. Its components were similar to Mercedes Benz that was manufactured in the year 2006. Few of such components are wiring harness, suspension design and changes in design column. This car s production was initially focused in North America. After getting a strong footing there this Chrysler300c expanded its production and sales in Australia and Asia. This car falls in the sport and luxury segment. It has a high performance engine and transmissions are automatic (both 4 speed and 5 speed). Freeman Thomas and Ralph Gilles were the major designers of this car. Dodge challenger, Dodge Magnum and Dodge charger are few of the models closely related with this model. It follows front engine layout and LX platform. The layout can sometimes be 4 wheel drives also. The assembling operation takes place in many countries like China, Canada, Austria and Ontario. It has a wheel base of 120 inches and is 74 inches in width. Its height and length are 1.475 meters and 5.015 meters respectively. The turbo diesel engine of V6 Type comes in various capacities to suit varying needs (2.7, 2.7 and 5.6, 6.2 liters)
The solid base comprises of wheels along with wheel covers, automatic transmission, and power seat of driver and input jack which comes as auxiliary. It has a wheel base of 2.6 meter and is 1.6 meter high. Its width and length are 1.79 meters and 4.29 meters respectively. Chrysler comes in various models which we shall discuss in brief now. First let’s consider the differences between Limited and Touring model. The aluminum wheels are coated with additionally with chromium in Limited model whereas in touring model it is not covered. ESP and satellite radio (Sirius type) are additional features included in touring model.
Transmissions are 5 speeds in Limited model and 4 speeds in touring model.
However in both cases it is automatic. HEMI engine is unique to Chrysler300c version. At engine s side induction tube is used which is again unique to this car. Major advantage of using this is induction tube is that it is responsible for making the fuel more efficient because in the extra area offered by the induction tube there is pull and push of air. Transmissions are automatic and 5 speed similar to Limited model. Other versions include Heritage edition and SRT 8. SRT 8 claimed to have the best performance and was sold at US market at a rate of 43,700 US dollars. Brembo brake was an additional feature of this model. It also had high performing seats made up of pure leather and was forged. Wheels were made up of Aluminum and were polished. Both in the years 2005 and 2006 it found a place in ten top best selling performance cars. The Chrysler 300c also won prizes for best cars in luxury segment in Canada and North America.
