Stay Fit With a New Year’s Resolution

Many people make a New Year’s resolution, and why not? It is the start of a New Year, a new life, and they believe that with a new life should come change. This is a great idea, but the problem is that many people simply do not follow through with their new year’s resolution. They make empty promises to both themselves and others. Not because their goal is impossible, but because they do not truly believe that they can accomplish whatever it is they have set out to do. You do not have to be that person. You can be the one that meets your goal head on. No matter how difficult it is, no matter what you have to go through. You can do this.

So you ve set a goal to be fit by New Years 2010. That s not a bad goal to have actually, and it s not very hard to accomplish either. All you need is a little discipline and you will be well on your way to becoming nice and fit for the New Year. Of course you might be thinking that it s impossible. Maybe it s because you stopped exercising a few years ago, or maybe you just don t think you re up to it. The human body however, assuming that it is in decent shape, can stand up to anything and do just about anything.

The first thing that you need to do is set some goals for yourself. For instance, set a time that you will get up and exercise. Make sure that you stay in shape, and the best way to do this is to be as consistent as possible. If you choose six AM for your workout time, then make sure you never get up at seven.

If you want, you can always join a gym. Most gyms will assign you a personal trainer who will help you to get into the best shape of your life. This path isn t easy, but when you re feeling great on January 1st, you ll realise that all of the hard work wasn t for nothing.

If you have picked out a certain exercise routine, then stick to it. The best way to do this is to put some sort of reward system in place. What kind of reward? Well it should be something that you have deprived yourself of in the interest of achieving your goal. Say for instance you have denied yourself the ability to eat chocolate. If you complete your entire exercise routine for a week, allow yourself to eat a candy bar. By doing this, you will allow yourself some incentive for doing everything right. Sounds great, doesn t it?

Before you know it you will be in the best shape of your life, and you can tell everyone that you have met your goal. There aren t many people who will be able to boast this, so be one of the few! Stand out in the crowd and hold your head high. If you can meet your New Year’s resolution, then you can do anything!
