There are undeniably many sins that are committed by well over 115 million bloggers online worldwide.
But, let s get real, many of them are of poor quality, and falling flat on their faces as far as making any money! Furthermore this is all unnecessary .Having a high volume traffic blog, and a red hot lead generating machine is not that difficult to have in light of what is available on the blog making market today.
If you are a blogger that s not having much success, the simple remedy to that problem is this: Follow the lead of those that are successful in the development of effective principles and a long term strategies. You will gain the knowledge that it takes to be successful in marketing your blog!
A list of some of the deadliest mistakes that you need to avoid at all cost.
A. Bad structural design. Going to the free blogging community to create your blog is courting disaster! Yes it’s easier, and cheaper, but, do you want to own your own blog or do you want to lease one from a stranger? Leasing a blog is like having to live with your in laws!
It is crucial that you register your own domain, preferably using your own name (your own name.com) for the branding of your name on the Internet and then build your blog using wordpress software. You may not trust my judgment in this, but some of the most successful bloggers in the world use this process. There is no doubt, that With a hosted Wordpress blog you have greater control, and superior SEO capabilities, with a huge array of plug ins and widgets available to you.
B. The need of Focusing. A great number of bloggers don’t spend the time to identify their niche or their Tribe. The niche is the market category they want to compete in. Their Tribe is the group of followers they are trying to assemble, whether it be consumers, admires , contributors, etc. It’s necessary that you take the time to recognize precisely who you are blogging too. They are no different than you in most cases, they have their likes and dislikes, concerns and fears, and the various hobbies they engage themselves in.
The better you communicate to them, the more likely they will be frequent guest to your blog and join with you in your cause.
C. Lack of keyword research. This is the giant killer! Google, Msn, and Yahoo are just few of the top rated search engines and they are super anxious to send their traffic to the best posted content, hands down, content is king.
The obstacle to overcome is this, they can only do this based on key words their searchers are using. If you don’t identify the key terms your tribe is searching for, and optimize your blog for them, you are definitely leaving money on the table. You should have a central theme you want your blog to rank highly for, then a bunch of “long tail” key terms that each post is about. There is a very high rate of return on key word research and if done properly it will reap bountifully for the super blogger.
D. Writing technique. It is very important to keep in mind that you are writing to two different distinct audiences. First of all, you are writing to your niche market, and you must engage, entertain, educate, and provide whatever kind of value you are motivated to make available with your blog. Secondly, you are writing to all the search engines, and must include your key terms in your URL, first sentence, and once or twice more if it is applicable. With practice, you can easily generate entries that appease both the Search Engines and all the visitors to your blog.
E. Regularity. the majority of bloggers just don’t blog often enough. Blogging on a daily bases is best, a few times a week is tolerable, but consider once a week an absolute minimum. Any less than this simply won’t get the job done and your doomed to a slow process of building a business.
F. Capturing leads! A great many of the blogs today, just don’t have any kind of lead capture! Giving away a free report, software, e books, or other offers is mandatory to making your blog a red hot list building machine!
G. Value proposition. Many bloggers of today offer very little value in their posts. The blog reads like a carnival barker that s trying to sell you on something or the blog is just too much about themselves. Remember, people don’t care what you ate for breakfast, lunch or dinner, or where you went on vacation this year, or about the cute little pictures of your mutt. It is imperative that every post you make to your blog gives something of value visitors!
There s no big secrete on how you can overcome all the blogging mistakes that so many make early in their blogging careers. Follow these guide lines from the start and you will be rewarded with prospects and sales, and making a name for yourselves on the Internet!
