If you are one of the lucky ones that have been able to run a successful business from home then you know the many benefits of working at home, but if you are considering starting your own home business they may not be so familiar. Working from home means more than just being your own boss; it means a freedom like none you have ever known.
There are numerous advantages to working from home, here are some of them:
•No set schedule: When you work from home and have no clock to punch you can make your own schedule. This is great as it allows to literally work whenever you feel like it. A few words of wisdom here; make sure you are putting in enough hours to keep your home business running smoothly. Sure it is great to be able to take a break anytime you want, but too many breaks equals not enough work getting done and a bottom line that will suffer.
•No boss: Everyone has at one time or another had a boss that was absolutely a bear. When you work from home this scenario is completely eliminated. When you work from home, the only bear you will ever have to deal with is yourself, which may or may not be a good thing.
•Increased family time: When you work from home you are at home which is where your family is. Even if you are working, the mere fact that you are home and can take a moment to help your kids with homework or pause to get a hug from a loved one is what life is all about.
•No dress code: Sure there are times when you will want to dress fancy like if you are meeting with a client for lunch, but for the most part, there is no dress code when you work from home. You can work in jeans and a t shirt, shorts and a t shirt, or even your pjs if that’s what floats your boat.
•Do what interests you: When you work from home you are doing it for more than just a pay check. Chances are if you start your own home based business it will be doing something you are passionate about. This is helpful as being in business for yourself is an endeavor of dedication.
•Incentive to work harder: Unlike a normal job, when you work from home, there is no cap on what you can make. The harder you work, the more you typically earn. This becomes a great motivator for you and makes getting up in the morning a little bit easier.
•No commute: When you work from home there is no more rush hour or crowded trains and buses to deal with. Your morning commute will only consist of going into the kitchen to make sure the coffee is brewing and then walking down the driveway to get your newspaper.
The list goes on and on but the point is the benefits of working at home are wonderful. Essentially you can do what you want, when you want, and the only person who can say otherwise is you.
