Businesses are looking for ways to minimize risks and maximize profits. This means they need to look at nontraditional ways of using resources. In the past, when a business needed to fill a particular position in their company, there was a long process.
First, an advertisement was placed in a local newspaper. then dozens, if not hundreds of applications and resumes were sorted through to find a few candidates that looked good for the type of job. Then, the interviewing process began. As each applicant was brought into the office, it required valuable time spent by the manager to screen and review all the options available. In the end, one applicant was hired. Then the process of training was started.
After two to six weeks of training, the person normally started their new job on a probationary period of three to six months. If the company was satisfied with the employee's performance, they were then given benefits, like health insurance and a retirement account. However, what happened if there was dissatisfaction on the part of the employee or employer? Either the employee would be dissatisfied with their job or they would quit and the process would start over again.
Or the employer would realize that the employee they just spent weeks, money and management time hiring and training was not the right person for the job. Either way, the employer and employee were both in a situation they did not want to be in. The employee could have been the best in their field and not the best fit for the company they were hired by. Both the employee and the employer took a hit because there was no way to determine if they were a good match.
Now there is employee leasing. Employees are hired by a company and then leased back to the company they normally would work for anyway. This allows the company leasing the employees to have an additional expense and less liability in the recruiting and hiring process while the leasing company is able to offer better benefits and employee longevity. The more employees that are employed by a employee leasing company, the better benefits that can be offered to employees in the Tri-cities area. Managing employees in Chattanooga, Nashville and Knoxville becomes easier providing solutions to both employers and employees. Continuous employment can occur even they need to find a different employer or employee that provides a better fit to them.
