Talk to 100 people what belongs in the kitchen, they will certainly reply forks, frying pans, spoons, plates that kind of item. You would probably ask far more people before anybody named the best baked spud cooker. We do not require any off these products, human nature forces us to buy them for some ungodly reason. And before you realize it your kitchen is over flowing with gadgets that never get utilized. For good examples check out www.feedingbubba.com , all extremely awesome items but for the most part unproductive and novelty. Certainly no useless item shall be sparred when I clear out the kitchen. I am going to "ask" 3 questions of all things in my kitchen if they "reply" no to all 3 they need to leave.

Do I use it at least once a week? Do I just plain and simple love it ? Could it make me cash ?

I'll ask my pals around as soon as im finished to have a couple drinks and choose anything they would like. No doubt several of the good old college drinking games could make an appearance and enliven the party a little. Try and relive the good old days. I can tell this is an awful idea.

Five big boxes heading out of my kitchen never to be seen again. One made up of drinking games going to return to there former home of college with my nephew, in addition to 3 full of dinner and silverware. The final box, is the unique kitchen gadgets that should never have made an appearance in a kitchen to start with. 2 days of really difficult decisions and difficult work have left my kitchen looking like the day I moved in.

Drinking cocktails, eating delicious food of toothpicks the evening is all planned out. Well that's what I had planned. I love it when a plan comes together! NOT! Even though I thought the days of the "beast" were done and dusted after all the years since graduating. Think frank the tank in Old Skool. I was surprised that it took 30 minutes to get the drinking games rolling. The night quickly fell into a sloppy mess of beer pong and shot roulette. Take note that no 30 year old should ever attempt these activities, I really don't remember having hangovers like this back in the day.

So what made the cut? The essentials so to speak.

I really only kept the essentials and things I use almost daily. A food processor , the small blender I use to make smoothie's, a couple sets of pots and pans as well as a nice set of dinner and silver ware. I did keep a few broken sets of dinner and silverware for daily use so that I can keep the full sets for when I have guests or the mother in law over.

Some things you can never have enough are glassware and tupperware. I have to admit I didn't even go through any of them,. I probably should have, at least to get rid of the ones with out lids or were badly stained, everyone has a fetish and mine is nasty old tupperware. Don't judge me.

What didn't make it and why (bigger items only) Juicer (while a great idea , and works really well , I just never used it.) Salad spinner ( just took up too much room, and I really cant remember the last time I ever used it.) 3-4 sets of mismatched dinnerware ( never used them as they didn't look good, a great donation to my nephew who wont care , his socks never match.) All the drinking games ( just not up to it any more, again another great donation to my nephew) 2nd George foreman grill , I bought to take on a cabin vacation one year ( still in the box , unused to small for daily use.) Panini Sandwich maker ( what the heck was I thinking, it literally was the size of a small Caribbean country. Used once the day I bought it.

My kitchen looks so much cleaner, devoid of all those crazy and unique kitchen gadgets, unfortunately its not getting much use today as my hangover generally involves me ordering pizza hut and watching the deadliest catch on netflix. No more buying things from infomercial's or drinking games for this household.
