At our purpose designed indoor centre in Aylestone, Leicester we offer a broad selection of pet related activities such as puppy, group and individual dog training courses. Also a wide variety of training and fun products complete with the range of Collards & Purina ProPlan dog and cat food. We also have on our menu both the facilities and the in-house expertise for dog and cat physiotherapy and hydropheropy facilities.
Some pets have behaviour issues. At WitsEnd? we have the skills to treat dogs and cats with serious behavior problems such as aggression, house soiling, destructiveness, separation related disorders and phobias.
Sara Whittaker Dip CABT leads the team of specialists and has worked extensively with dogs and cats for over fifteen years. Sara is also a regular media broadcaster, writer and lecturer. Behaviour consultations are undertaken on an individual basis using the latest concepts in behaviour therapy and include practical work and training where required.
WitsEnd? was founded in Leicester in 1997 and offered cat and dog behaviour training services. Due to the need for on-going support especially with the rehabilitation of dogs, Sara started up WitsEnd? School for Dogs in her back garden in 1998. Following the success of these small compact classes of 4-5 dogs, WitsEnd? School for Dogs moved premises to a 3 storey purpose designed facility at 5 Harold Street, Aylestone, Leicester, Leicestershire.
Sadly Sara's dog, Hannah, an 8 year old GSD had to be put down because of arthritis so Sara installed a hydrotherapy pool in January 2001 to help other dogs in Leicester. In 2005 Shahad Mohammed qualified as a veterinary physiotherapist specialising in dogs & cats so physiotherapy was added to complement the rehabilitation of pets following injury or illness.
At WitsEnd? we give you on-going support as well as practical help and rehabilitation for your pet. In our behaviour consultations we aim to explain your pet's behaviour in a manner you can readily understand, and to give you tailored practical and usable solutions to modify behavior. All dog behavior therapy is conducted at our Centre on Harold Street in Leicester as we have found this to be by far the most successful approach. Cat behaviour requires a home visit.
