Most people go through life wishing. They see a nice car drive by and they wish that they could drive a nice car like that. Sadly, most wishers will never do anything more than just wish. It seems that wishing is their life s mission. In all actuality, they really don t want that nice car because, owning that nice car would require responsibility.
The rest of us really do want that nice car. Actually, we need a better car. We really do want a nice home for our families. We want to be able to look back and say I did something great, something worthwhile with my life.
Well, step out. Stop wishing and make your dream come true. You can make it happen. Grit your teeth, stand up straight, take a deep breath, and go.
But to what? What great thing can I do? Well, what do you dream about? What do you spend most of your time thinking about? Do that, or something related to it.
Put together a plan, in writing. A written plan will be something tangible and easy to refer back to whenever you begin to have doubts about following your dream. It will help to keep you on track. Write down your dreams. Write down how you want your life to turn out, how you want the end result to be. This will help to keep your dreams in focus. Write down each step that you will have to take to get to the end result. Things like education, getting and keeping yourself motivated, who you will need to be on contact with.
Keep in mind, Rome wasn t built in a day. So, to make a major change in your life will take longer than a couple of short weeks.
If you have trouble putting together a plan, then talk about your dreams. Most people will be inspired by your boldness to take action on your dreams, and they will be very willing to offer ideas.
Also, if you seem to have trouble thinking of a plan, you might consider coaching, or consulting with counselors. Now don t worry. Coaching and counseling are just ways for setting goals, for motivation and for self esteem from people who have been trained in this sort of thing, and will remain completely neutral and anonymous. You won t have to do anything bizarre like see a psychiatrist, or sit in on some group therapy session.
Be careful of those who offer only negativity. Constructive criticism is one thing but, constantly hearing sarcastic opinions can, cause you to begin to think negative thoughts. This can destroy your belief that your dream can be realized. This sort of negativity usually comes from the people who refuse to take on any responsibility in their own life. So, don t let them take away your dream. This is your dream, and your life. You have the power to make it work your way.
As with most people, our dreams and wishes are to build a better quality of life for those we love. Usually, this requires us to make more money. Sorry, but this is a cold, hard fact of life. We ve all heard it said that it takes money to make money. Wrong. This is the 21st century. You can educate yourself, design a product, and market your product on the internet, all at little or no absolutely no cost to you.
There are many websites on the internet, where you can piece together enough information to educate yourself without spending a dime. There are also many great resources at your local public library. So, there is no excuse for holding back.
Often, most people will take the easy way out. Most people are natural born slackers. Most people don t want to get ahead. People have a natural tendency to be lazy. They are content, not happy, just content to stay where they are. Those of us who do not want to stay in this rut, will push ourselves to keep going. It can be difficult. You need self discipline, persistence, focus and determination. Keep going, don t give up. You will succeed.
To the victor goes the spoils. After all of your persistence, you will begin to see returns and rewards. You will begin to realize that your dreams can, and will come true.
