To get the most out of your hot tub, there are accessories that are considered to be must-have for some people. Among them are the traditional, and maybe not so traditional, rubber ducks.
Disguised as a lifeguard, a bathing beauty and even a bride and groom, these little guys can help make sitting in your tub more enjoyable as an added accessory and is sure to get a laugh from your friends. There are, however, many more traditional and useful hot tub accessories from which to choose.
A word of caution, however, is needed with a few of them. One such whirlpool accessory is a DVD player, which can be mounted on the side of the tub. Spending too much time submerged in hot water could be hazardous and as enjoyable as watching a movie while soaking in the water may seem, no one wants to become parboiled.
Another accessory many users appreciate is a CD player or radio. Some manufacturers include this as a standard Jacuzzi accessory and they get their power directly from the hot tub's wiring. For those who use an outdoor tub, especially in the winter a welcome gift may be a towel warmer. This keeps the towel at least as warm as the water making getting out of the tub in the winter a little more comfortable.
Plastic playing cards, which never get soggy in the water and wind-up toys for the younger ones can also be appreciated as a hot tub accessory. But more serious items such as pool cover locks or even a tray table to attach to the tub will be more welcome.
Although it's not a very nice thought, in the colder weather, rodents are sometimes attracted to the warmth of a Jacuzzi. One useful hot tub addition is a mixture of essential oils, which are very repugnant to rodents such as mice and rats, yet are completely safe for human and household pets. When rodents catch a whiff of this rodent repellent muslin bag they quickly leave the area.
