Here is a relationship that is very hard to carry out. This would be the long distance relationship. With these, if it is only going to be a short amount of time apart, you can still have problems. The longer amount of time involved can really put a lot of strain on even a relationship that has been going for years. We mean, say you get a good job and the rest of the family can not leave at the same time. The longer apart you become, the more restless all of you become. Even this can happen to those that are just dating. Your minds will always put terrible thoughts in your head and with you not being able to check them out, you had better have a lot of trust.
Sometimes all of the trust in the world will not be enough. Your family and even your so-called friends can make you think all sort of terrible things. Even the little things like not hearing from them for a couple of days can cause you heartache and God forbid someone tells you they are cheating on you. This alone can cause either one of you to call this whole thing off. Our society runs on the idea that you have to keep a strong hold on a person to make it work. Our military personnel and their families are one prime example of long distance relationships and even some marriages. One or even both these members of a family can be away and the one left behind will go through hard times.
Most of these manage to make it work and if asked if they would do it again would probably say yes but also hope that they do not have to. With some of these, the strain can become too much and they will fall apart. With some, they might not get the chance as they will find that they have lost this someone that they love. But in the end when this person does come back, you can restore your faith in this person and go back to making this work.
If you happen to find that your long distance relationship is going to longer then you thought you should sit down and really think about if you want to wait for this person. If you decide that you still want this person then it will be up to you and to them also to do whatever it will take to keep this strong until you can be together.
