Therefore if your site is not a high converting one you will be charged for viewers visiting your site but then you will not get anything in return because they do not submit their details meaning you will not build a list and not make much money.

When running PPC adverts you will need to increase the effectiveness of your ads. The best method of doing this is creating a number of different ads and run them alongside each other (split testing). Then you can analyse each site and see which of the two was the highest converting, in future you will want to use the higher converting site.

Here are a number of different elements you can change around to enable you to find out which layout/desgin works best, this gives you a high converting site. Change the headline of your advert and site by making one positive and the other negative. For example; "Make Tonnes Of Money Here For Free" which is a positive headline or use "Don't Be A Sucker And Go Anywhere Else For Internet Marketing Techniques" which is a negative headline. You can also consider changing the layout of your site, changing the style and size of font, length of text, with or without video and picture etc.

When you have found out which ads are the worst converting discard them and stick with the one you know is/are the highest converting. This will make your PPC ads cost effective as a large percentage of people that click on your ad will submit their details to you. This will build your list and inevitably make you money if you advertise to your list effectively. Keep your costs low and profits high...simple!

Another tip to making your PPC ads cost effective is by the use of Keywords. As mentioned before the more popular the keyword/niche you target the more it will cost you. Therefore when you first start out using PPC ads it's a good idea to pick a smaller niche within your market. For example within Internet Marketing Business Opportunities the two most popular keywords "Make Money Online" and "Home Business". A way to find out smaller niches within your industry is to type your keyword "Internet Marketing" into Google Keywords and it will give you other popular keywords that you can target.

A top tip is if you are in a Internet Marketing business such as YourNetBiz you can choose the name of one of the top performing marketers as you keyword then put a "?" after their name as your headline. Offering something for free within your ad will also be popular; it doesn't have to be the best product in the world just something that will be of real benefit to the viewer. For an Internet Marketing newbie I suggest using free methods of internet marketing such as social networking before venturing in the world of PPC because you will not have as large a marketing budget. After you have earned money from free advertising you can afford to test multiples of ads to find out which are the highest converting. After you do start using PPC ads effectively though your list can grow very quickly and you can stand to make a lot of money.
