During the first week of February in 2010, the American trainers in Pakistan came to realize that they need to be on their guard. Security jobs now seem to be of great importance to those Americans. A suicide bomber has caused the deaths of three of those American trainers. Where did the bomber get his information? Should the government create some new security jobs, in order to seek out the answer to that question? If so, then I have a suggestion concerning the possible nature of any planned security jobs in Pakistan.

I once knew a man who grew up in Iran. He is familiar with the mind set of the men in that region of the world. He has suggested that a search for intelligence information include the placement of personnel at weddings, specifically weddings in Afghanistan and Pakistan. That suggestion came back to "haunt" me personally in December of 2009. At that time, the government reported having an alleged terrorist who claimed to have gone from the United States to Pakistan in order to "attend a wedding." Did that claim not highlight the fact that terrorists were ready to use weddings as cover for their dangerous activities?

Maybe his statement should encourage the creation of certain security vacancies. The personnel filling those vacancies would be asked to attend weddings in Afghanistan and Pakistan. They would be responsible for seeking out information about planned attacks against American trainers in Pakistan. While I feel that the need for such personnel should be of great concern to American authorities, she does not expect to hear much about the creation of such vacancies. That is because the government has tried to remain quiet about the presence of Americans in Pakistan.

The government is not about to broadcast any plans to add any new security personnel in that part of the world. This effort should provide the government with important security information. Perhaps the government will learn about other plans made by the terrorists. Even if no new information is uncovered, such efforts would at least let the terrorists know that the government has a better feeling for how any alleged terrorists might be approaching their planned "surprises." Maybe the introduction of these new security jobs would in fact "surprise" the probable terrorists.

Maybe it would show those same men that a surprise does not have to be violent. It does not have to pose a danger to others. It does not have to result in the killing of innocent school children. In that way, the government could give any probable terrorists a quiet but important lesson. In that way, the Americans in Pakistan would be a lot more secure.
