There is not a lot of options anymore when it comes to TV. In fact, there are essentially three main choices. Those choices are Dish Network, DirectTV and Comcast. Because there is not a lot of difference between them in the channels that are available on each one, they have to find other ways to stand out from each other.
One way that they do that is through the number of HD channels that they offer. Another way is to offer more services in combination with them, such as internet services. No matter what they try to do to make themselves stand out from the other two providers, they always are making adjustments to try to one up the others.
No matter which service you have now, you will likely change to one of the others at some point in time. The odds are against you staying with one service for the length of your life. One of the reasons that this is the case is because the deals that each of these providers offer to a new sign up can be very enticing.
The odds are also good that you will change from one of these providers to another because chances are you will become dissatisfied at some point in time with the service. Either you will experience a lot of outages or a billing issue or something else that will cause you to decide that you are going to change the TV provider that you have.
When looking in to Dish Network, DirectTV and Comcast, it is a good idea to do your best to compare apples for apples, but it is hard to do. When you will find is that one will have more HD channels, but it may have fewer over all channels. Or, you may find that one has the right channels in the wrong packages.
By that I mean that you may want certain channels and they are all part of the largest package, but not any other. This would cause you to have to pay for the biggest package in order to get all of the channels that you want to watch. This is very frustrating, but unfortunately is the case all too often.
When it comes to TV, American's are serious about getting access to certain TV shows and channels that they would like to watch. However, in recent years we have seen a shift in that attitude. It seems that the cable and satellite providers have reached the edge where they just will not pay any more to get those things.
