Step 1 - Assign Your EBook A Distinctive Name

Try to think of a name for your ebook that has not been used before. Well, this might be practically unachievable, but try to think of a name that will be practically unique and stand out from the multitude. Grabbing attention through a title is vital to the success of your work. If the book is entitled ‘101 Marketing Tips’, it is not going to stand out from the crowd and people are not going to buy it.

This also gives us the other critical piece of information for the title of your book. Do not just give it a generic name about what you are providing. Webdesign For Dummies works for the range of books that have had a fortune spent on marketing, but if you just call your book Minimal Webdesign, you are not going to accomplish your full potential.

Step 2 - Keep The Title Short And Simple

If your title is long winded, shrink it. A name of 7 or 8 words is not going to be remembered. When people converse it on Twitter the name will be too long for Tweets. If you can think up a title of no more than 5 words that is short and snappy people will remember it and be able to natter about it. You can then set up Twitter accounts and analogous services safe in the knowledge that people can Tweet about you.

Step 3 - Impart Something New For A Wide Audience

Who are your objective audience and what might a lot of them like to sort in their every day lives? Are they trying to promote a website or lose a bit of weight? Now that you have worked out what will attract to them, you can write a answer for them.

Now, give the merchandise a new spin. Too many ebooks sell the same information to the same markets. Not only are these markets getting board of being told the same information, but with so many people marketing the same information, the audience is split between many prospective sellers. So to sell your ebook, offer something new to your audience.

Step 4 - Hit Upon Your Target Market And Stick To It

There is no point selling weight a loss ebook to frequent marathon runners and no point selling promotional tips to flourishing affiliate marketeers. Work out what your target market is and target just them. You may be reasoning that the more people you target the more sales you will make. But by being specific to a niche audience you are open to less rivalry and should sell more.

Step 5 - Change The Ebook To PDF

If you write the book in Word or other prevalent format, then publishing as a Word document leaves the book very open to being plagiarized and reworded. It is very easy to get the book converted to PDF format, which not only looks more trained, it also protects your work more.
