Why is everyone talking about Corian worktops lately? Almost everywhere you turn people are discussing the virtues and benefits of Corian worktops, from new build properties to kitchen redesigns, from restaurants to bars, and even in people's bathrooms! But what of the alternatives to Corian worktops? Clearly Corian worktops are not the cheapest of solid worktops, but then solid worktops aren't bought because they're cheap, but because they represent astonishing value for money over the long term, they're durable and they inspire confidence, as well as offering a staggering range of styles and possibilities. If you look hard enough you're bound to find alternative acrylic worktops for less than Corian worktops, but be warned - often the lower price means that the inner core is significantly thinner than Corian, which means they are far more likely to be damaged more quickly. After all, you get what you pay for, and with Corian worktops, you get versatility, durability, design and a ten year warranty.
