First time wallpaper hangers should be cautious when hanging something as delicate as wall murals. You want to remove all dirt, oily residue and any old wallpaper that has not been removed. The adhesive has to be mixed correctly and they change with each manufacturer. There is also a correct way to hang the mural starting with the center piece first. After applying the mural, sufficient drying time is needed to complete the installation. The outlined steps are in the manual that comes with the mural kit. The mural will come in panels. How many will depend on the size of the mural. But it is handy to have the panels already laid out on the floor in the order of hanging. Have everything you need at your fingertips and ready for use will make the process easier.
The decision in hanging a mural might be as tough a one as hanging the mural. Anything can be made into a mural from a photograph to an illustration. Pre-made or themed murals can be for a child’s room or any room in the home. Murals are an easy way to make a small room appear larger and changed the appearance of the room altogether. Unless the installation is correct, the purpose of the mural is defeated. A bad installation can take away from the room instead of enhancing it.
