The First Step .. what is the first step?
To start, do you know what affiliate marketing is? In case you don't here it is in a nutshell. You recommend somebody else's product to a visitor to your site. If your visitor clicks the link on your site to get more information about the product, you will get a commission if they eventually buy. The world and his dog will sell you a get rich quick scheme for $47 with a secret formula. Oh please. Some are good and some are just not. Finally you'll need to learn a bit about SEO. Search engine optimization. What is it? It's the process of getting you page ranked on Google and other search engines. The better programs you buy/join will go through this with you.
Minimal Risk
Another benefit of endorsing affiliate products is the negligible risk involved. If the product you decide to promote does not become an online money maker, you aren't compelled to a losing proposition. There are no long-term binding contracts tying you to any products, so you can easily stop your marketing of a product that isn't working for you and select another program.
