The product is shipped from the manufacturer directly to your home and this avoids packaging, break bulk, distribution, and storage and using excessive fuel. Online processes are more efficient. Inventory is kept low and to helps in lowering waste. By having one truck deliver many products avoids consumers driving their cars to the store.
Some small companies can only get their products to consumer by selling them online because the bigger retailers fail to give them a deal. Green small businesses are supported at the local level and keep the economy going. It is win-win for all. You can support small business and have the choice of more organic, natural and Eco-friendly products.
